The essentials first
We take you from your front door to the terminal – in your own wheelchair, seated or by stretcher. Our staff take care of the luggage, accompany you to check-in and hand you over there to the airport assistance service. In addition to EuroAirport Basel, we also serve Zurich, Geneva and airports in nearby countries.
Typical uses
- Transfer to EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg
- Journeys to Zurich, Geneva or Bern
- Pick-up on arrival and journey home
- Onward transfer after medical repatriation from abroad
- Assistance for travellers in wheelchairs
All the way to check-in, not just to the car park
For many travellers, the way from the car park to the check-in desk is the real hurdle – with luggage, in a wheelchair, with little time to spare. That is why we do not simply drive you to the airport, but accompany you to the desk and hand you over there to the airport’s assistance service.
Please also register your need for assistance with your airline – this is a service provided by the airline and must be booked separately there. We take care of everything up to the terminal.
Buffer time is part of the plan
We plan airport journeys with time to spare. Traffic, loading the wheelchair and the way through the terminal take time – and a missed flight cannot be made up.
When you book, tell us your departure time and terminal, and we will work backwards to set the pick-up time.

The first IVR-recognised patient transport service in north-western Switzerland
Recognition by the Swiss Interassociation for Rescue Services (IVR/IAS) is not a self-assessment but the result of an external audit of vehicles, equipment, training and procedures. Mobimed was the first patient transport provider in north-western Switzerland to receive it — and still holds it today.
