From the door of your flat to the waiting room

We do not collect you at the roadside, but at the door of your flat. Our staff help you put on your jacket, get down the stairs and into the vehicle, and take you to the reception desk at the practice. After the appointment, we collect you there again and accompany you back into your flat.

If you use a wheelchair, you stay seated in it: our vehicles have a ramp or lift, and the wheelchair is securely fixed in place.

For care homes and Spitex

Care homes and Spitex (home care) organisations book doctor’s journeys for their residents and clients with us – by phone or via the online form. On request, we invoice collectively.

Answers

Frequently asked questions: Transport to the doctor

What does the journey include?

We collect you at the door of your flat, help you get in and out of the vehicle and accompany you right into the practice. Wheelchair users stay seated in their own wheelchair. Our staff are trained in looking after patients.

Can someone come along?

Yes. One accompanying person travels free of charge.

Does my health insurer pay for the journey to the doctor?

If the transport is medically necessary and prescribed by a doctor, basic health insurance (KVG) generally covers 50 per cent of the costs, up to an annual maximum. Without a prescription, you can book the journey privately.

How early do I need to book a journey to the doctor?

Ideally one day in advance. We take on short-notice journeys if a vehicle is free – just call us: 0800 670 670.

IVR/IAS Quality Recognition — Approved Medical Transport, quality seal of Mobimed Patiententransport
Verified, not just claimed

The first IVR-recognised patient transport service in north-western Switzerland

Recognition by the Swiss Interassociation for Rescue Services (IVR/IAS) is not a self-assessment but the result of an external audit of vehicles, equipment, training and procedures. Mobimed was the first patient transport provider in north-western Switzerland to receive it — and still holds it today.
